Acclaim's gone *cheers*...

Okay maybe I'm overreacting, the once wonderful Acclaim studio's has closed its doors.

It is farewell Shadowman and ta ta to Turok.

As much as I disliked Acclaim in their later years games such as South Park, Turok Rage Wars and WWF Attitude provided much enjoyment multiplayer wise whilst the Turok series as a whole and Shadowman were some of the finest N64 games to date.

I was saddened to see Acclaim defect to the Playstation but it looks to have gone against them.

It does mean though that Worms: Fort may get a Gamecube release after all.

But what's the point if you can just pass the control pad?

Worms Forts is a fantastic game - I have a PC demo, and I'm defiantly buying it when it comes out. I think its more of a PC game though - what with all the mods and voices you can download; not to mention online multiplayer.

Worms on a console is another matter - multiplayer? Pass the control pad. Would it kill them to add 4 control support?

Worms = PC

For Extreme G and Turok (just ignore Evolution and 2...) I'm sad to see Acclaim go.

I saw the 90% review and luckily only rented it, god knows I wasted £3 and a trip into town though.

Oh and Sega are distributing Worms in Europe, it was Accalim who had the rights to America.

The thing is the single player was appaling but I played with 4 mates for months on end in the multiplayer.

SEGA had the rights to Worms 3D and Acclaim got the rights to Worms Fort, hence the reason we weren't getting it... because Acclaim don't publish games for the Gamecube.

Juiced goes into hiding...

Turok was taken off of Acclaim I didn't think it had been given to anyone...

No one will pay for that pointless licence.

It's a shame the series went out on such a low.

This proves that you should ALWAYS listen to JBH and NEVER to NOM.

I got it from GAME for £30 or something. Maybe it was £50. I remember reading the NOM review, and going to the shop to buy it, then I saw that N64 gave it about 60%, but I still bought it, despite advice form JBH not to.
