Yup on both counts.
This was one of the first ever SCi Fi books and it is truely original for a storyline!

Humans couldn't kill the martians.....the only thing which saved Earth was Bacteria.
Anyway, this game is set in 1898 and features technology of it's time. The technology can be researched in the game and battles can happen any time of day.
And guess what! It's one of the only games based in Britian! That's because most games which are based on something British, are changed to American!
I think there are online capabilities, but I only play War Of The Worlds single player as you need a lot of time to play it.
I might even review it if I can on here!

AS far as I know they are exclusive to Special Reserve as I only told them!
If you see them anywhere else in any other magazine or website then they were copied from here cos Rage software don't or didn't know about it and it's not something that can suddenly happen.
It took me ages to realise that I could rename the files to my advantage!
