Wario Ware: Mega Party games

Those wondering whether to get this or the slightly more expensive GBA version lay your fears to rest... this is the game for you.

For starters the single player mode is almost twice as big... and the multiplayer is far superior.

As for those who already own the GBA game, this is still the game for you.

Granted the mini-games are pretty much the same, the odd one or two new ones and special multiplayer specific ones too.

But my GOD the multiplayer. There are tonnes of multiplayer modes that you unlock in a similar way to unlock the normal Wario Ware games.

Most are wonderful... one involves you winning cards by winning mini-games... One involves 15 pre-set mini-games and your opponents job is to put you off by running their characters in front of the screen... one is a co-operative where one playe shines a light over the playing section as the lights have been turned out... one involves some naughts and crosses asteroid type stratagy... all involve mini games.

There are the odd duff games... e.g. where you have to perform mini-games whilst stareing at someone, or pulling a face or somet... the winner is the guy or girl who gets clapped the most by their opponents.

RIGGGGGGGGHT.

But bar that the game is so much fun. And for £20 you can't go wrong.

Snap it up.

Here's the synopsis from the site I'm ordering from;

WarioTM is bringing his need for greed to Nintendo GameCube! Starring in his first 3D adventure, Nintendo's most mischievous troublemaker brawls his way through a host of monsters to recover his beloved treasure trove.

As the game begins, Wario's treasures make him so happy he can't stop smiling! After finally completing construction of his castle, he wallows in a stockpile of gold and jewels hidden deep within his fortress. Unbeknownst to Wario, hidden among the treasure is a strange black jewel that turns his gems into monsters, leaving him to battle and brawl with a multitude of strange creatures to regain his riches.

Wario must learn moves such as the "Piledriver" and the "Wild Swing-Ding" to help him fight an endless tide of weird and wild enemies. His arsenal of new moves includes picking up and swinging defeated foes to thrash hoards of oncoming monsters. This fast-paced game will have players chuckling at the comical injuries Wario sustains and laughing even harder at the damage he doles out to his foes!

Wario World allows players to download samples of WarioWareTM, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ onto the Game Boy Advance via the Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable. This bonus provides a taste of the more than 200 lightning-fast microgames found in the Game Boy Advance title.

Slightly wrong methinks...

The e-Card and distraction games are the best. The co-op one is alright, just a bit crappy because Wario Ware's all about competitive battles.

I may dig this up, actually, haven't played it in ages.

Then they've made a mistake...

I remember Woolworths selling Pokemon Channel for £40 for like 2 months and then amazingly it was £20.

I'm always up for a bit of Multiplayer madness so I shall be ordering this soon. One thing I cant beleive is that some of the 'major' retailers are selling it for the price of a normal game, around £37!!! But for £15.99 (from the retailer I'm ordering from), I am sure I wont regret buying this game!

Watch the START screen for long enough and as many times as possible.. it's very funny. Sneezing, yawning, rock music, tons of videos..

Me and my mate played it for five hours straight tonight. Amazingly addictive game.

We played it 6 times and I started to understand the appeal of the card game...

The biggest waste of space is the pulling faces one...

Keep playing the card one you'll get the hang of it.

Th only disappointment over teh GBA version is that it doesn't have thouse great/weird cutscenes, like that guys toilet flooding his house.
And that card game isn't THAT good, Dringo, it's probably one of the most boring.

It's the same mini-games...

But it's done differently... on floor one for example you have to complete 15 under wario, 25 under jimmy, a further 20 games under dribble and so forth until you've done them all.

Once you've completed Wario's stages you automatically go to jimmy's, if you die under jimmy you can always go back to jimmy's games skipping Wario completley...

Once you've gone through the whole list you then move onto stage 2... etc....
