This would be great! "Sorry if this topic has been done before but as you might have noticed i'm a newbie"

Like Gameplay had a couple of years ago it would be people slugging it out to see who's the best.

I should be split into different categories:
Dreamcast: [Insert game of choice]
Playstation ISS pro evolution 2
PS2: [Insert game of choice]
Nintendo 64 :Perfect Dark
Gameboy color: Tetris would be suitable for competition

The competition would take place in special reserve stores over the country and winners would advance to the final.
For each game there would be set rules and options.

Competitors would pay a price for entering the competition and part of that money would go towards the running of the competition.

To the staff of Special reserve
It would be great publicity for Special reserve and possibly increase sales of the games in competition. There aren't many competitions around so gamers would take full advantage of this.

Post your ideas on what the competition could involve.

Reaper I'd prefer it to be console based because there has only been one tornament which was in 2000.

Here's the link to the page http://www.ukconsolechamps.com/

There have been too many PC based competitions and since Gameplay are going down in terms of profits they have decided not to run the competition any more.

It would be an organised tornament that's takes place live at a special reserve shop at a fixed venue. There would be referees/admin for each few people that play so no cheating occurs.
It would be like a computer fair and people would go to it not from home

How do you suggest we split you?

There was an idea to do something like this on the MIST forum a while ago, but primarily multiplayer over the internet. I believe GamePlay's tournament (Insomnia) was a LAN, not sure if they had any console gamers there or not. Playing over the internet could give an advantage to players with faster connections, whereas a LAN would be much fairer, although PC spec would still have an effect.

It would be good publicity for Special Reserve, bringing lots of people in to the shops for a console gaming one - personally I'd prefer PC, you could run it from a link on your site which would force people to come via ukgames.com...thus seeing all your deals and possibly gaining new customers.

How could u do this with ISSpro, tetris and perfectr dark

It wont be a proper tornament without online games. If your thinking of taking a pic of your screen that wont work. As not a lot of people have a pic.

But if it was an online pc game it would be brill!
