I heard that in the future Zelda game (Zelda GCN), there's going to be a fourth piece of the triforce!!! Thay say it will be called the tetraforce. Do you guys think that the rumor is true or not?

Um... I haven't heard that from Nintendo themselves, so as of now, no. And I don't want 'tetraforce', I would rather just stick with the good ol' triforce.

I haven't heard of any fourth piece of the triforce, but if there would be one that would be cool, because the game would be longer. Do you think that it is the piece that fits in the MIDDLE?
Also, I think Tetraforce is a pathetic name. Come on Nintendo! Can't you be more creative?
Three more things:
1. What would the fourth Piece Represent? Not Wisdom, Courage, and Power.
2. Was there a Fourth Goddess that helped created the fourth piece?
3. Who will have the Fourth Piece on the back of their hands?
Those are my questions about the "Tetraforce."

Wasnt Zelda in Wind Waker called Tetra? That could be the link, but i dunno why they would call it tetra - tri means three but was does tetra mean? ive never heard it being used to describe 4...

I got the Tetra explaination from the dictionary, it says:
entries found for tetra.
tetra- or tetr-
pref.
Four: tetrode.
Containing four of a specified kind of atom
Maybe there are 4 pieces of Triforce?

Maybe the fourth piece is from a god instead of a goddess. Also, look at the hylian shield. It has the triforce on top, then a red bird thingy in the middle, and on botton is another triangle. Maybe this triangle on the bottom is the tetraforce!

Yeah...but why does it look like it has fallen from the triforce?
From: Aurel_Lazar_jr Sent: 23/08/2004 02:11
Does it really matter??
> 4 triangles put
> together does not make a triangle
Yes they do. 3 the 'right' way up, and one upside down in the middle.
That said, despite being a conspiracy-chasing hippy, I don't particularly buy into this one.
Yes, 'tetra' denotes 4 (think Tetris), and Zelda was Tetra in WW.
But that's still a pretty feeble argument.
You never know, it's possible that ninty want to inject something new into the series, and it's possible they'd do this, but when you have a general plot line that allows you to 'reincarnate' Link and Zelda and resurrect Ganon, there would be better ways to introduce new stuff than this.

Rightyho, you really should complete it..it is a great game.
And on your "a new triforce piece wont cause more games" point....damn right.
How many games can people name where the triforce actually played an important role? The first game, Wind Waker and maybe A Link to the Past (I admit it..I have the GBA version and haven't actually played it properly yet)
So you're right, a new piece of the triforce wont make a bit of difference...
And yes, I was referring to the original and going by memory in that message. I haven't ever completed the original....yet, so I was unsure and was only going by what I could remember from magazines.

what?
Are you talking about a Zelda game that I dont know about, or the first Legend of Zelda?
That had 8 parts in 8 dungeons(with a 9th afterwards), to the same piece of the Triforce, the Triforce of Courage.
And Adventure of Link didn't have the triforce in it, so that can't be what you're decribing.
------
oh, and that tetraforce stuff is rubbish.
Whoever thought of that probably just noticed that Tetra Elmental and Tetra Disaster from FFVII have 4 elements and the word tetra in.
*disengages final fantasy mode*
...or not.
How can they change a triforce exactly? Link has Courage, Zelda Wisdom and GAnnondorf has Power... simple.
What was one poked out the middle and so they changed the name too?
Or is Tetraforce a totally different one, there is a new baddie that has a bit and Link has a bit of that too...
Oh my God am I actually debating this.
Leaves.
