Considering Space Giraffe's on the way I wouldn't rule out Rez turning up at somepoint.

It is and it isn't as good as people made out, just at the time people went over the top, still got my Dreamcast copy of it but don't touch it, unless you enjoy average arcade shooters with pretty visuals and sheer frustration it really isn't worth getting excited over.

One game that would absolutely rock XBLA is Rez, I just severely doubt we'll ever see that masterpiece again which is a shame seeing as hardly anyone played it and it was and still is the most off the wall and innovative shooting game I've played.

Powerstone/Powerstone 2 and Cannon Spike would be great co-op games and multiplayer games for those that like the online stuff. Sega should cash in, they deserve it for such a great console being robbed by the PS2.

That's not the one 'with black and white elements and you have to switch ship/shot colours to the same colour to be able to shoot it' shooter is it? :D

It seems that Ikaruga will be coming to XBLA sometime in the near future as it's just appeared in a very buggy version on the debug kit. This is really great news, I've really gotten back into 2D shooters since the invention of XBLA and this is one I always wanted to try out and supposedly one of the best.

I thought I'd seen that page before, but I defnitely hadn't seen it linked to on the front page of xbox.com before.

Oh joy...Paperboy.

I know its a cult classic but I've already got it on Xbox and it didn't feel as good as the original ZX Spectrum version I had 15 years ago...and then I had a 5 minute wait each time I wanted to play it.

The Worms page is up on Xbox.com http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/games/w/wormshdxboxlivearcade/ so it seems likely it'll be this wednesday's game.

IGN:

"Rare is hoping to release a Live Arcade game based on a brand new intellectual property later this year, says Kameo Software Engineer Nick Burton. In an interview with Edge magazine, the veteran developer, who has worked at the company for eight years, said a team of 10 people was already working on the as-yet-unnamed title.

Of course, as with most of these initial announcements, details are scarce at the moment, with Burton only adding the game would retain Rare's distinctive visual style. So something cute and fluffy with big-eyed animals?"

Wonderful...
