I guess how they score it is down to the individual and what they enjoyed of it... or how much they enjoyed it.
I mean I enjoyed Turok a little... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
The "Nintendo humour" In NGC is second to none. And their reviews are heavily comprehensive.

My only criticism with NGC is they overrate games a little contradicting their review.

This game is utter crap. Don't buy it...ever!

I think they did that with a Yu-gi-oh review in the latest issue - claiming the game is above average, but isn't worth getting at all.

Gotta agree with Dringo, it's one of the main reasons I love NGC, it has the jokes that only good fans of Nintendo would get and are therefore funnier because you know they're aimed at just us.
I always buy CUBE and NOM. In fact, I never buy NGC at full price.

What I like about NGC is the same thing I liked about N64 Pro... and that's character.
Cube and NOM just try and be so funny to impress the reader. 50% of NGC's readers would have a clue about "robo-goss" and andrea's big stickTM is more of a personal joke amongst the NGC team.
It is a magazine written for the die hard fans, it pokes fun at Nintendo's advertisement, the stars catalogue, the robotic nature of gossan, the wonder that is reggie (that section with various speech bubbles coming out of his mouth was pure hilarity) and the evilness of yamauchi. Nothing beats it for pure character.
The attempts made by CUBE and NOM are somewhat dissapointing.
