If your a gaming fanatic and often have many mates around to play games like Quake, Goldeneye or Unreal Tornament. You know what it feels like when you frag your oppenent or beat them in a race. There dissapointment on there face as it drops while you are cheering and rubbing it in!

This has got to be one of the best feelings in the world, when you score that goal in the final second of ISS pro and your oppenent puts his hands in his head and starts throwing his control around the room.

Many people might of not had this experiance but i suggest you try it.

A lot of people say that online gaming is the futre of gaming but nothing beats the fact that you can see the dissapointment on your players face when you beat them in THPS2!

I'm defently going to get timesplitters and a multitap when i get my ps2. after the results i have got about the multiplayer!

I think that Online Gaming is an expeiriance not to be missed but gaming with your mates should not be forgotten.

This topic might be a bit bad, i'm very sorry if it is as it is now 11:00 at night!

Erm...I'm not sure how long it took me to get my first one, it was within a month though, I think..

And near non existent on a cable modem, ping of 30-40 my deary!!

There's room for both, and it really depends on the type of game. If it's an FPS, I'd much rather play with all my mates in the same room, preferably on PCs so we can have a whole screen each, and you can hide behind the nice big monitor if they start to throw stuff at you...

If it's a strategy game, it has to be online really, but I don't care who my opponents are in that. I don't seem to get the same satisfaction builiding a civilisation as sniping my mates' heads off. Better take that back, kind of thing I'd get convicted for =/.

Sports games..have to be in the same room, no fun doing them over the internet, same with racing games. The big problem with 'net play for the near future is going to be lag, which is negligable on a LAN and near non-existant on a console.

Online gaming with your mates!!

What does everyone think is better, Online gaming or gaming with your mates???

If you can't set up a LAN at your house/a mate's, look out for public LAN parties in your area. I'm off to i8 in August with a few mates, 4 days of multiplayers with 1000 other people =)).

Well you can if your like me and Reaper and have lans!!

I would rate it over both on the PS2, isn't as good as Unreal Tournament on the PC, but you can't kill your mates on that can you??
