In nearly all 3d video games polygons are used. these polygons have to be produced and made by the consoles computer. The consoles computer is told where to put these polygons by the cd. The cd contains the information the programmers put on it.

This is what i wonder, if the console is going to produce tonnes of polygons a second then it is going to be much much more harder and time consuming for the programmers to make games. This is why I think the ps2 with a lower polygon performance of 75 million plys/second will make it easier for programmers to make games meaning more will be made. So the x-box has a higher spec the Ps2 will be easier to progam for, meaning more games will be produced.

X- box 125 million polys/second
Ps2 75 million plys/second
Gamecube around 5 million but in a different more complicated way

So if your looking for a console spec to show of with then its the X-box
and if your looking for a console with plenty of games to chooose from the its the Ps2

Hmm...I don't mind who it is really, feel like having a go at someone...

Early warning there, maybe I'd best get off the forums for a while.

You are a git. You have proved you are just sad and pathetic thinking it's "cool" 2 rite lik dis and that you'll make friends. Plankton.

All it shows is that you are a dyslexic imbocile who can't speak the language you have been born and raised on.

You are almost as bad as Wilmaaaa, but not quite. Nevertheless, change your ways. Both of you.

Yes, the first one is more to my liking. It's really not that hard, all the little keys are in front of you, you just press each one and the corresponding letter appears on your screen...

I still fail to see the point of "every1", for the sake of 2 letters - then again, most of them fail to be of any use on computers, possibly on mobiles if you're short on time/lazy. I find it faster typing like this anyway, by the time I've actually thought of the acronym I could have written the proper word several times over..

The Gamecube had many more polys than six million at a time in the demos at E3... there is a number somewhere, but it's so insignificant, I'm not even going to bother.

I'd rather play on a snes than the xbox which proves specs don't mean much.

The guy from nintendo on last night's cybernet said that it's not's what's in the box it's what comes out.

I couldn't agree more.

The amount of polygons there are doesn't make the game harder to program. If anything, it makes it easier because you don't have restrictions.

And how can you say "lower polygon rate of 75 million"? That's far more than any console you can buy and a lot of high spec PCs. You plankton.
