Hi folks,

Excuse me if this is a stupid question, but I have to ask anyway.

I have a G-Con Light Gun and a Mad catz Steering Wheel (official Sony) for my original PlayStation.

I understand you can play original PlayStation games on the PS 2, but what I want to know is, will my steering wheel and light gun work on these games, if played on the PS 2?

So if I put my old Gran Turismo 2 disk into a PlayStation 2 and plug in my steering wheel, will it work?

I'm not fused about it working with PS 2 games - but I would be a bit annoyed if it didn't work with my original PlayStation games!

Yes is the simple answer, PSOne peripeherals will work with PSOne games on the PS2. PS2 Periperals work with PS2 games, although the pads I think work with both!!

Is that 100% definate? I called Sony and was told the gun would work but the steering wheel won't, but I neglected to ad that I am only concerned with playing PSOne games!

So if I buy a PS 2, I can still use the steering wheel to play my existing games on the new hardware?

Well that's excellent news - that was my only concern over buying a PlayStation 2, as I've grown quite attached to GT 2 with a steering wheel!

thanks for the information!

Anyway, you will want GT3 with a PS2 steering wheel, the demo blew GT2 away, so just hold on for another month!!

That's very true, but to begin with I'd just want a PlayStation 2! I'll hang on for GT 3 and judge for myself then whether I need to get a steering wheel as these new PS 2 pads sound pretty neat.
