I want to talk about saveing the Earth!People these days don't realize what they are doing to the Earth.For example,people are idoleing,polluting the air with deadly gasses,throwing trash on the ground ,and dumping trash in the ocean wich destroys many sea animals lives.......so please be careing and recycle.

Congrats on 1800 posts pete! ;D Should be reaching 1000 myself soon, been on here for 194 days. This is my 813 post. Averages at about 4 posts a day, which is the most i've ever posted on a forum tbh! So thanks for all the good times so far freeola! (doesn't seem long ago when i was celebrating my 30th day birthday! ;D)

I'm going with the obvious screw the earth setting ;D At least we don't get big tubes in TV's anymore.

LCD screens use less but some Plasma's (especially older models) do use more.Panasonic kind of blew this theory out of the water with their later panels.On mine I can select 'Eco' mode which gives colours a faded,washed out kind of look or you can revert to the usual 'full on screw the earth' setting.

I thought LCD flat screens used a lot less power then the standard TVs? The performance of old TV aren't very good and with newer technology being more efficient.

Someone should somehow find a way to turn water into decent electricity. I don't mean the current hydro tech i mean something thats far, far better.

Could be,suppose Skippers would eat those ?.

I'm all for recycling etc. but reckon ideas such as banning Patio Heaters and Plasma TV's are a total waste of time and effort.

Anyway, the environment should be saved, except i'm secretly destroying by not recycling enough and leaving the hall way light on.
