Region 0 is a free region so it will work on any DVD player i.e they work on a PS2. UK region is 2 and USA is region 1. Region 1 discs wont play on the PS2 without some sort of mod which you know about Bonus.

When I phoned the powerline, they gave me a whole load of nonsense about it not being able to play NTSC DVD's. I saw another persons PS2 play the same movie in colour. Do you think it is the TV?

No I was on about the picture, if you use a RGB Scart cable then the icture on DVDs is Green, but the cable you hae should work. I am at a loss on this one because my NTSC DVDs work fine.

I can't remember. It is the standard cables that come with the PS2. I think it is white, yellow and red. I also connected them without the scart and direct to the tv, still black and white.

What are the green and black cables you are talking about?

I have plugged it through the scart lead. Do you think that because the tv does not support 60hz? It is a brand new TV. I was so disappointed when it didn't play color.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Impressive control panel
I have to say that I'm impressed with the features available having logged on... Loads of info - excellent.
