if Nintendo, Sony, sega and microsoft were sweets, how do you think they would taste? Heres what i think:

Nintendo: A very rich, hard, dark chocolate with a soft centre. This is because Nintendo are portrayed as being very rigid on the outside, who dont like to give anything away. But once you get inside the company they are a bunch of softies, who just like to make games that are fun to play.

Sony: A bit like a neverending sour gobstopper, which is fun and enjoyable at the start, but further into it's life it becomes over powering, with too many layers that are just the same as every other one before it. This is because at the start of both of their consoles, there have been very promising titles which were very original, but then from these original games, a multitude of sequals spawned, these ran the system into the ground, and left shelves full of crap games.

Microsoft: This would be a new sweet, but one which is a tried and tested idea which has worked before, but with a few new twists, like a mars bar with a twist of lemon, the lemon bringing a new freshness. This sweet will be twice the cost of an original mars bar, and is only popular amongst a minority who like lemon flavours in there sweet, leaves a bitter aftertaste. This is because Microsoft new in the console business, and whilst they are sticking to the general rule of console, they have added a few bells and whistles to make it stand out from the crowd. A definate rank outsider.

Sega: Like an old peppermint this would be a strong sweet, which is popular amongst a broad range of people, and brings a refreshing experience whenever tasted. However old and familiar sweets are left behind in the market place. This is because Sega were popular earlier in the life of consoles, but now Sega has had to take a back seat and develop games as a third party for other consoles.

Thanks for reading.

Buy a game with it then, and a DVD and you're set. You may also be forgetting that most people who bought the Ps2 had the PS so already had games they could play on it which were better then the new games!!
