After reading a news article that we, the British Video-Gaming public are about to pay over the odds for Nintendo's GameBoy Advance.
According to this article, Nintendo didn't actually set a fixed RRP for the hand-held, they apparently let the retailers do that. However, Nintendo usually give the retailers a ball-park figure and I believe it was in the region of £75-£79 for the hand-held. But, according to this report the price for the hand-held will start at an unreasonable £90 with NO games bundled.
Speaking of games, they're going to be priced between £29 and £35, which in all honesty is taking the mick. Yeah, they may be good games, but let's face it, we're paying £30 for a retro title, with a bit of a face-lift.
I'm not belittling the GameBoy Advance, far from it in fact, as I fully intend to purchase one. However, it won't be bought from this country. Again, I'm resorting to the importation of the hand-held as I'm guarenteed to get it a darn sight cheaper than I would here.
Why do we put up with it?
