Then these words were preserved in books, and the art of story telling became almost redundant. Immersion became reading a novel in the warmth of your home.
Years latter Radio was invented, and once again immersion came from hearing the story told by another's voice.
Then there was TV. Imagine how new this seemed! Until now immersion was only achieved by listening to people's voices or reading words. But now pictures could be send to you via a Cathode-Ray-Oscilloscope!
And then there were games. Now immersion was gained by moving small red plumbers about controlling their every movement.
And next? Plugging into machine? VR? Holodecks?
Anyone suggest any ideas I could patent?
