Wednesday 16th May the opening day for E3 in Los Angeles. The big opening for the unveiling of Microsofts ugly XBOX and Nintendo's long awaited GAMECUBE!
NINTENDO's GameCube stole the spotlight over the PS2 and the XBOX. The crowds were shown previews like Starfox adventures, Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash bros. meelee. And then they were given the chance to play on playable demos, and here they are:
Animal Forest-this will be on the N64 and on GC Yes! Shigsy Magic!
Luigi's Mansion.
Phantasy Star online V2
Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2
Super Smash bros. melee.
Pikmin
Metroid 4 or as it has been renamed Metroid Prime.
Wave Race.
...there is probably more but I will have to post those next time since I don't know many others or what they are about.

Animal Forest-
Another game full of Shigsy Magic. This has been a greatly anticipated game for the N64 and its future console the GameCube!
This game is based around COMMUNICATION, it is four player will have about 4 save slots and developed by Nintendo. Nothing is already set out for you like in other RPG's where you can only take a certain route or you aren't far enough into the game to do that yet. Everything that happens in the game is made by you or is from what you have done earlier into the game.
This game is a lot like the great Harvest moon games for the GBC, N64 and the PSX and PS2!
You have your own sort of bank account which will have to be used wisely because it would be a bad idea to spend it all on consoles, hi-fi and luxuries and then be borowing from your mates all the time until you have enough to pay for food, and essentials.
LUIGI'S MANSION:
The game is about Luigi (duh) and a mansion that he one in a competition, and know wishes he never had. It is filled with ghosts in every room.
All you are equipped with is a torch and a vacuum cleaner.
The whole point of the little green plumbers job is to clear out every room of the ghosts by sucking them up into the vacuum before the sun is up.
Looks like a great game.
PHANTASY STAR V.2:
One of the greatest RPG's ever for the DreamCast now dead has moved to the GameCube with the better Version 2.
Great what we are all looking for the first online RPG for Nintendo, with hugely improved graphics and great gameplay.
You get to create the player you play with and develop teams and play online with people on the otherside of the planet. This game is all based on Teamwork, slaying huge monsters, and having to discuss plans with people who even speak a different language thanx to a translator!
STAR WARS ROGUE SQUADRON 2:
WOW LOOK AT THE GRAPHICS! Star Wars with the greatest graphics we have ever seen.
A game with Luke SkyWalker, X-wings and has been changed to make a game based on the original Movie!
The framerate is great allowing millions of enemies on screen at a time, this game by Factor 5 allows you to comtrol more than one wingman with your d-pad and using the shoulder button.
GREAT!
SUPER SMASH BROTHERS MELEE:
What a killer looking game! This game is very similar to its predessecor Super Smash bros. on the Nintendo 64. This has to be the greatest beat em' up the world has ever seen and it WILL be!
It has all of the original players and the arenas based on the best N64 games are still there and the fighting includes blisteringly fast kicks ala matrix. Lots of punches, guns (oh yes!).
Super smash melee has to be one of the best looking games yet. And now there will be a themed arena for these other characters:
SHIEK's GREAT BAY-The great bay from Majoras maskk and the moon gets closer as the match goes on!
PEACH's CASTLE-We all know what this is!
KIRBY'S DREAMLAND-Kirby's very own fantasy world!
FALCON'sF-ZERO-you must fight on top of a floating platform which moves about vigorously!
WOW! Looks like a great game!
PIKMIN:
Pikmin a little man that looks like the top end of a weed that you found in your garden another weird one that has great graphics.
And another Shigsy game it must be good.
You are a spaceman and you need to collect as many Pikmin as possible to form your own army, you can controll up to about 100 by directing them.
METROID PRIME:
Metroid on the SNES was great and was a huge hit although lacked in graphics now its burstin with top notch graphics.
You play Samus and get to see through her eyes, it is meant to be very Perfect Dark style gameplay, with a twist of RPG in it too!
WAVE RACE GC:
WOW! Look you can actually see your reflection in the water, this is extremely realistic, and is a great improvement on the great Wave Race of the N64.
It is so realistic that underwater weeds that are actuall visible can get tangled up in your engine and slow you down.
And the waves are huge and can reach 40ft!

I use search engines to look for game sites and I end up mostly getting porn sites.
For starters magazine sites are good and places that you already know of that speacialize in gaming and then go to search engines to look or try places like Gameshark, or stuff!
I don't have a clue where to look on the net.
We surf, read and listen and rite down anything new we find out!

I am please with the Gamecube line up, I feel that there is a good game representing all genres and by Christmas the Gamecube SHOULD have one of the strongest libabrys around for such a young concole.
One games that gets me is Metroid... It should be good but I don't know how they're going to pull off all the 'classic' metroid stuff in an FPS mode...
Also, will the game be like Goldeneye OR Deus Ex, it can't be both! I would prefer the first but with such a game an essence of RPG-ish-ness should be included. No?
