Wrestling has been described as "Gay Sadomasochist Fantasy Entertainment."

Large men, play fighting and trying to lay on each other for an alloted time.
Lots and lots of body oil, well toned young men and violence.

Imagine a really, really camp "Gladiator" and you may be approaching the appeal.

"Hello sweets, I'm Maximus..Ooooh that toga is, like, sooooo 87 BC...it's blue now honey, that's what the slave-about-town is wearing these days."

Large dominating males, chest thumping and flying about.

Different strokes for different folks.

After seeing the film "The Mummy Returns"...I never want to see The Rock again :-)

The way I see wrestling is that it's like a soap opera, but with violence.

Now how can that be a bad thing?

Wrestling really is unique! It provides entertainment like no other source.

It combies the drama of soaps, the suspense of a football final and has great action to back it up. Everyone knows that the WWF isn't 'real' but it can be as real as you want it to be... The Rock is more real than Super Mario... Stone Cold is more real than Snake Solid. They are people providing excellent entertainment for the millions....

Wrestling is just for entertainment. It must do it well, as it is the most popular sport in America, and is popular over here as well.

I agree with The Game. Wrestlingis completely fake but one mistake and they are out for life. It is still very dangerous.

He was in a match with D'lo Brown. D'lo botched a powerbomb and broke Droz neck. Droz is now paralysed.

Because it's entertaining.

In the same way people like boxing. In the same way people like Videogames. Wrestling has something special... it's really, to put it bluntly, exciting. You may say "Oh, they're just a load of gay men in tights" But that isn't the case...

When was the last time you saw a boxer jump from 16 foot in the air to elbow drop or even punch someone... NEVER... a footballer? You ever seen Edgar Davids run half the length of the pitch swing from the crossbar and Tornado DDT the keeper? No! Wrestling is great... there are heels and faces (good guy and bad guys) just like in videogaming, there are highs and low just like in the videogaming industry.

Wrestling is Fake. We know that, but so are videogames and you must like videogames or you wouldn't really be here... videogames are just as wierd... there are even WWF games like Smackdown 2 and No Mercy, with the X-Box's Raw is War on the way. Don't tell me you haven't played them!?

Wrestling is very popular... the only reasons people like it is becauyse it's entertaining, funny, interesting, dramatic, exciting... just like a great videogame might appeal to gamers, wrestling appeals to others.

I love wrestling, so does Ant, Cheese and a few others... you might like Spanish picnics, Hey!? I don't know... wrestling is just sports entertainment, AND I LOVE IT!

I guess some people like looking at big men that are covered in grease, grappling with each other while making strange noises.

I cant see the appeal myself :-)
