Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory has now been pushed back to March 2005. Gamecube and PS2 versions have also been announced, with the delay ostensibly being so that all formats get the game around the same time.
Nothing to do with Halo 2 going to be the biggest Xbox seller of the year then? Or GTA: San Andreas? Or Pro Evo Soccer 4? It wouldn't, just couldn't have anything to do with trying to protect sales would it?

Maybe they can spend the time working on another adversarial mode. Would rock muchly if they did.
I'm gutted, really wanted to try out the co-op mode.
It's not like we're gonna be short of games this Xmas though, guess when it comes out next year it'll be better as not only will I have more time to play it, but also it'll have more time to get the bugs ironed and hopefully improve the Live modes.
