Anyway, I have just spent a week going through hell trying to obtain my advanced job in time for my non-importing friends starting the game... I would like to offer some advice. If you want to become a summoner - pick something else. You need to get an item that is probably one of the rarest drops in the game. I spent 18 hours killing the same monsters in the same location before I got one of these things to drop. It's just not worth it!
When travelling through the ranks I thought the sub-job quest would be the hardest I'd ever do, but ohhhh no....
If you read below I do mean the PC version, but as I also said it is cross-platform. This is very much a Playstation game, just accessed through PCs by some people. Also as it looks unlikely there will ever be a HDD release in Europe this is the only way FF fans will be able to play it in Britain. And I think most FF fans will be in here.
Chains of Promathia is released today in the US, this is the 2nd expansion pack - but European players get that included for free when they buy the game.
Honestly this game is essential, it's gone down in history for me as the most involving and rewarding game I've ever played.
i'm now a lvl 6 warrior! woohoo
Five minutes later I get the message...
"How do I get out of my moghouse?"
LMFAO!!! It's not nice to laugh but still...
It's really weird having an actual friend in the game. Definitely cool though. I just need to find somewhere that it's snowing and I'll be able to join him as a level 1 summoner.
I had an offer of a high level escort to get through Ranguemont Pass last night (think Shelob's Lair, lol) but I preferred to buy myself some alchemists potions to make me invisible and silent and try to find my own path through before the effects wore off. Blew every last gil I had, but I feel chuffed I did it without assistance.
I need to know how much the UK version is charging (if different)
