"I really dislike the splitting of the fog"

Ever since there are two fog forums now i have disliked the whole of the forum settings and it appears that newbies are ruening the forums with spamming and hacking. What happened to SR, all the problems seem to have occured ever since the forums were split and it just does not have the feel like it used to when there were just the old faithfull ppl in the forums like grix, ant, snipe, tony, meka, me, non zero, sheepster and the list goes on. Something dont feel right and fog seems to have plumeted down a large mountain

one thing that has baffled me is that the SR discussion forums have been around for over a year now with a steady rate of people joining. Why is it that all of a sudden there is a excess of newbies now?

can i have 1 or some special game cause i aint won for about 300 days

We decided

The Newbies will have to be here a minimum of 21 days before becoming regulars. This will reduce spamming. Suggested by RBS. Also the word count will be raised to 10,000.

The FOG (Prime Topics) forum will not accept new topics from Newbies. This will cut down the number of topics considerably, so that the prime topics do not get shoved down the order.

I will also do a little work to lift the other forums. So far I have posted three extra Gameadays in these.

The reason is that there are over double the number of posts since we split the forums.

It's because of the number of Newbies. See my topic called "LET IT SETTLE"

but you must admit that fog has changed and is not as good as it was. It all went when chat was added and mist was erased. If the filter system was added the forums would look alot neater aswell

I don't know how easy it would be to program this.

Turbo might know. My inclination is that a count of topics posted on a particular forum would over complicate our database.

very good idea. A sysem where newbies can post 1 topic a day and regs can post 2. That way it wud sort the clutter. Users are still intitled to post as many posts but just not topic. VERY GOOD IDEA. Now only tony to convice

I promise you that if any the prime topics forum was taking this amount of messages as well, it would not cope. Good topics would be overwhelmed.

The chat forum can cope with a lot more.
