I know this is a bit ironic to say this, but look at the forum now and you can see plainly why it's failing.

SO many new topics! And what's funnier, is all of them are saying the same things!

I have made a new topic to put this across, because it seems to be the only way of communicating with you all.

If you have something to say, put it in a topic that is talking about it. Please don't limit the things to one view a topic, it's utterly pointless.

I believe Tony has stopped newbies from creating topics on the prime topics, and that may possibly be the greatest thing he's done on the forums, even beyond gameaday. By stopping the millions of stupid topics being created for no reason, we can finally get down to discussion again on the prime topics.

Your views please.

I think you have hit the nail on the head so to speak. I have just spend the best part of an hour reading what has been posted today and i think the main problem is the introduction of a class system. Everybody knows who the regulars are and when a topic is started by them you know it is worth reading. You also know who the clowns are and when to avoid there topics. If you have something to strive for then people will go for as it is a sense of acheivment.

Abolish the newbie / regular distinction and take away the GAD qualification for the Prime Topic forum and then hopefully the stupid posts will stop. Also stop anyone from starting a topic entitled "Console Wars who do you think will win"

as in er-no's topic he says that to become a regular u have to be in the forum or registered for a certain amount of time which i think is an amazing idea take spider for instance he's been registered for 3 days and already he's done 316 posts with +5000 words which suggests spamming from him!

You can change your tagline now, er-no... :0)

Topics have to be controlled. I'm beginning to agree with er-no's suggestion a while back about you only being able to make two topics a day. Perhaps as you go up the ranks, you will be allowed to make more.

I also think something needs to be done about the ranking itself.
