Nobody mentioned this yet, I'm surprised. Anyway, for those that have been under rocks all weekend, some bloke in the UK appears to have naturally shrugged off HIV. That is; his blood test was HIV-positive in 2002, but came back negative in late 2003. And now we're being told to be cautious of the claims, so it's looking increasingly like there's been a blunder somewhere. He also doesn't want to be studied, which makes me think back to the Magical No-Memory Piano Man From Yonder The Seas.

How pedantic are you exactly? =)

I misunderstood what he wrote originally, and told him it sounded worse than what he actually meant, he said 'you know what i meant'. Now you came on and said 'eerr isn't that what hes saying?' and I'm saying 'See? it DOES sound like that'.

Therefore proven correct that people could take it that way. God you lot are awkward.

It's proven, not proved.

And I don't see how you've been proven right. I'll check this again tomorrow - did an all nighter last night, haven't slept in about 30 hours or so. Little hazy.

Strangely enough I THINK he meant get over it, if it turns out he never had it in the first place / blunder.

Ahh proved right :)

Er...that's exactly what he's saying, isn't he?

The same thing has happened to African prostitutes hasn't it? They've had so many blokes with AIDS that their bodies have created an immunity to it and destroyed the virus and in effect they cannot catch it again.

:/

Hmmm be careful how you word that... kind of sounds like 'get over it' because he isn't prepared to undergo tests. I doubt the AIDS community will just 'get over it' if that is the case.

Well yeah, but taking this sort of attitude isn't going to help either, is it? What next - egging his house? Bricking his car? Give it time, he might change his mind if it did actually happen. If he doesn't, then bad luck everyone with AIDS but get over it (the bloke, not AIDS).
