That's probably the reason he doesn't want to be touched. Imagine what that would do to your head - complete mindf*** - moreso with the added pressure he'll be under now to undergo tests, but like Pand says, it's his choice. What sort of society would we be living in if we forced him?

But wouldn't you want a re-test to make sure the 'all clear' wasn't a mistake?

I'd hate to be told initially that I'd somehow become HIV-free, only to be told shortly after that, no, it was a mistake and I still have the virus.

Not that I'd enjoy getting news of HIV in the first place...
