We get mice running / scurrying round here but no rats. The cats like to kill them and leave them near the back door for us to find in the morning.

Maybe they're offering them as a present so they can have territory of my back garden?

Rats have moved to ours, they howl, scuttle, fight, rip things to shreds, make our dogs go mad.... Ive a good mind to get some night vision goggles and a M-16, lay in wait, and then blast them off!! :D Instead we now have to get some cats, which will in turn probably get eaten by the dogs!!

It's when the cats get hold of weapons that you need to worry.

Round our way, a rather ruthless tom struts around with a rocket launcher strapped to his back, while his enemy carries a flamethrower.

Too many games? me?....

I get that in my back garden. Don't have any pets so the cats seem to fight over my back garden as they all see it as their territory.

Sometimes there's trails of blood on the path after a particularly vicious fight. The missis tells me to go and smack them with a brush to break them up but I enjoy watching the fur fly (literally!)

Or you could just do a weird dance and pull faces at them.
