Anyone know of anywhere? Haven't checked out the new MAXX range (is it out yet?), but PC World have a half-decent one for 500. Not for me, or for gaming, just general purpose for a mate who has less of a clue than me, and it has to be store/web bought.

Dell are starting to get a good reputation again, aren't they?

Jesus, this is good:

the graphics card is a bit weak in relation to the rest of the system

I wouldn't call it "crap", exactly, but I could probably cobble one together that's a higher spec for the same price as I'd offer MWA for his...although we haven't mentioned prices yet...I'm scared to.

That's the PC my mum's gett us.
I told her "Nooooooo, it's crap", but she wouldn't listen.

Still, at least it's better than my current one.

Ok, well what was originally a quest for a mate has turned into new PC time for me too, so I'll think about this for myself. I'd imagine you're looking at more than the 600-ish budget...will look about for similar specs and get back to you.

I can't be bothered to work out how much it's all worth :-P So you offer a fair price.

Considering theres MOT, Car Insurance and Xmas coming up...I'm happy :)

I got it January 2004.

But as I said, its in perfect condition. I only added in the 6600gt and the extra 1 gig ram.

Also, what sort of money would you expect to sell this for (I know roughly what it's all worth, just testing the water) and how old is it?
