Balls.


Postponed it until summer because I'm at Uni. Anyone had to do this yet? My mother had to do it about 2 years ago and from what I remember it entailed her going in for five hours a day for 2 weeks to do nothing, and then be told she wasn't on a case.

I don't fully agree with it.

" Heh you! Stop what you're doing for three weeks, get yourself somewhere ages away and if you don't have a car, tough luck. Oh heh, we might keep you waiting about and then sent you home. Okay, thanks! "

I was on a jury in a child abuse case dealing from the 60's. I spent 3 weeks doing it.

Regardless of how boring it could be, the attitude from the people when we retired to deliver a verdict absolutely stunk. Most just wanted to give a not-guily verdict without talking the case over so they could it over and done with and get home.

The whole experience filled me full of confidence in the legal system......

My suggstion, take a number of books in case you don't get picked.

Yep, it's mostly a load of balls. You go and sit through rubbish and aren't always needed. I think you get fed though.

I wish I were still a cop sometimes so I didn't have the potential problem of being called for this.
