Read something earlier about a panto up in Aberdeenshire somewhere. Joyous things, pantos.
Anyway.

The particularly story was Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, with all the wee kiddies playing the dwarves. But alas!
Everyone involved was told not to use the terms "dwarf" or "dwarves" as it "may offend those with growth restrictions".
And thus, the title was also changed to simply "Snow White".

Can someone...please explain this?
I mean, wth?

That’s an outrage; I’d go ballistic if people stopped me from calling people darkies because of their hair colour, it's not my fault they have dark hair.

Don't call it bird flu, it's disrespectful to birds.

Aha, gnomes. Also:

He said: "Obviously someone has got hold of the idea that the titles have been altered for political correctness and seems not to be aware that times change."

Eh?

"If you were 3ft 6in would you prefer to be called a dwarf in a pantomime or a gnome?

"A gnome is a fictional character like a giant or an ogre, it is not offensive."

Would I rather be called non-existant, or an accurate description of myself...

I've always thought that calling somebody an ogre was more offensive than dwarf.
