He's just a rotten rip-off merchant. Over 800 rupees to decipher a map! Really it's the balloon that makes the platform in SSBM, not Tingle.
The answer is simple...Tingle must die!
He's only good for providing a temporary platform in Super Smash Bros Melee. I certainly wouldn't miss him.
