Six groups of 7 and one group of 8, with the team in Pot 7 left over after the draw then put into a group as the 8th seed.
Some interesting stuff in there, with Republic of Ireland as low down as 4th seed, which is equal to Scotland.
Greece are also a first seed due to Euro 2004, completely ignoring the fact that they bombed it in the World Cup 2006 qualifiers and finished 4th in their group.
Possibly some really difficult groups as well, but if someone like Scotland can get Greece and Poland/Turkey as the first two seeds, we could do pretty well. The easiest possible option for England would probably involve them drawing Poland again.

By getting two draws?
Being the top scorer in the whole of European qualification obviously means they're not very good, though. You should know that, down.
You clearly haven't seen Italy either, Biggie. Scotland played them, and they were poor. They beat Moldova 2-1 at home, with two late goals. They got humped in Slovenia.
Czech Republic are vastly superior to Italy right now, and Sweden are probably on a par with them.
I do find some of the logic confusing, thought. Ukraine demolished their group, yet they're a 3rd seed, and the team that they beat to the top of that group (Turkey) is a 2nd seed. Then there's Serbia & Montenegro, only conceeding one goal the whole qualifying section, yet they're behind Spain, who they comfortably dealt with twice in that group. Belarus are clearly never a 6th seed either.
I find it really funny that Spain were close to being a 3rd seed, though. Shows that they're really not very good at all. :-D

To be honest, Czech Republic are better than Spain, and Sweden are possibly as good as Spain.
Top two go through then. No play-off, but with these seedings, potential for some more difficult games than in World Cup qualifying.

This would be an interesting group for us. Would love to play against Germany and Scotland again. Both would be difficult games but would be something to look forward to. You could also have Wales and N.Ireland.
