I read an article somewherewhich argued that when you die, you should only leave the kids a couple of grand each, and some money to cover funeral costs.
Enough for a holiday or something, but not enough to mess them up.
I hid the article from my parents.

Bet her kids and grandkids like the "I've got nothing to spend it in" comment...........
If she's well off, you can pretty much assume her kids/grandkids are also.
