"Ronnie Barker RIP"

Just heard on the radio that Ronnie Barker has died.

Best known for his sketch show 'The Two Ronnies' with Ronnie Corbett, and the fantastic sitcom Porridge, a great comic performer.

Thanks for the laughs.

RIP indeed. Legend of comedy, better than most around today.

Didn't grow up on his stuff (he wasn't so prominent on Irish TV) but he seemed like a classy guy and there's no arguing with the quality of Porridge.

I like the way that he pretty much quit TV in the 80's, rather than becoming a sad hanger-on. Though that said, it was great to see him back on TV earlier this year, going back over some of the classic Two Ronnies sketches.

Comedy's lost one of the few remaining greats of the business and I'll certainally miss his dearly.

that was a brilliantly peurile sketch that amused me when i was young.
2 ronnies, porridge, open all hours... all quality, this is a sh-sh-sh... sha-sha.. shame.

I liked Porridge best...that's what i'll always rememebr him for. Ronnie Barker was one fo those guys I just thought would always be there, you know? It's really weird now he's died.

Wasn't a fan of Open all hours, but Porridge is classic British comedy.

Hadn't seen much of his work, but was aware of it. RIP.

Wasn't part of my generation really, so I guess I can't really mourn his loss much.

I'm sure you'll get to see more or less every single sketch/show/special he was in/wrote/watched over the next week.
