Metroid Prime. Got the Boost Ball, and I'm at the halfpipe which is hinted to be at Tallon Overworld.

I'm now wondering if we're talking about the same halfpipe. I can't rememeber there being more than one.

I know you have to boost up the sides of the halfpipe. I just can't find where to go next. At the top of the halfpipe, on the left side where you've just boosted up, you cross the stone bridge, yeah? Then what? There's aren't any ledges which the morph ball will stay on.
From what I remember, you have to boost to get up on to the ledge. It can't be done if you're just trying to roll up the sides.
I see where a small tunnel starts on the map, but can't get up onto any ledges. What ledge?
Reach a little ledge and roll through a small tunnel for the Double Jump.
