Stupid rule which I don't use, but what's the reasoning behind it?

I'm conscious of the rule, but I ignore it.

Do you know every time I go to do that I have a mini flashback to primary school.

I couldn't for the life of me explain adjectives, nouns, onomatopoeias either and I got an A in Higher English.

I haven't used that rule since I was about five, and I haven't been told that rule since primary school.

It's a load of garbage.

You should have just acted the foreigner and asked "why that wrong"

Yeah I know, at some interview seminar today and one of the people there said (about a form) "Oh look, mark them down a point, they began a sentence with because." I was going to give them a verbal rape but I held myself back.

Because primary school teachers suck ass.
