Rumours that Uwe Boll is involved somewhere along the way...

Ok, it's not cast, has a pretty decent scriptwriter, and it's a good starting point for a movie (not that videogames have an impressive game-screen conversion rate), but c'mon, The Boll? The man's name is so filthy it should be a swear word.

"I've done a Boll"
"Go Boll yourself"

etc.

it'll be 5 hours long because it runs at the same speed as the game.
it'll also be incredibly boring, but for some reason everyone who sees it will tell you it's fantastic

Meh! If anyone should get the rights to a film about Halo then it should be these guys!
