BLocking a country just because of where they're from?

Racist.

"What is the opposite of ON. Write the answer in the box below in capitals to complete your registration."

That stops anyone who can't speak English from registering. Easy.

Both, the server can block IP ranges but i guess the best way is to block certain players from signing up in the first place stopping them from being able to join the server.

We are thinking of just putting a english test in the regisration page, it's not perfect but will stop a few, if not have some ip detection software to block czech players.

I am the only uk person on the server at the moment.

thanks for the help guys.

I don't think you will ever manage to narrow it down efficiently using numbers like that. You'd really need to use IP tracing software.

Careful don't narrow it down to just 213 as there are a lot of UK BT users that will be blocked !

Yeah .htaccess. I've been trying to look up what different parts of the IP address mean, but couldn't find much past "buy this software!".

Use .htaccess

Something along the lines of:

order allow,deny
deny from 123.345.678
allow from all

This would block users in the IP range 123.345.678.000 - 123.345.678.255
Obviously get it right or you could stop 'nice' visitors !
People could still bypass anyone block that relies on IP by using an anon proxy.

Lots of stuff on google...
