Basically I wondered if anyone has any information on, or knows anything about him.

He was a British general in WW1 for those of you who didn't know. Even after Googling I can only find his biography, and it's soldiers opinions of him that I need specifically.

He actually wasn't as bad a man as he has been made out, but yeah, he was responsible for a lot of carnage. But not just him.

Nash was nearer when he said they thought of him 'as a nob' but I need quotes that are actually from the soldiers, which I can't find.

I was thinking alone the lines of quotes or links.

And you can say "knob"

They thought he was a nob.
