Ok, this is my first EVER site that I'm being paid for (Unfortunately not that much but it's still the experience I need).
It needs to look formal and such.

It's quite good, but what's with the boxes?
In general looks good, theres a few rendering differences between IE and Firefox. A good first step to solving those though would be to include a doctype declaration.

Not got round to fixing IE yet. That can wait until last.

Do you just want general opinions?
It all looks very nice except for possibly the buttons on the left - something doesn't look right about them. Borders maybe, or a different font?
Apart from that, very nice
One other thing - I don't like the look of the font for the word "welcome" and "latest news" on the home page. I don't think it suits it.

I was going to mention this, the buttons didn't seem to do it for me either.

I agree with most of the other comments...
One thing to be careful of is copyright. Did you pay Multimap/Batholomew for the map ? If not then you could get your client in trouble or at the least cause them some embarrassment.
If it's not all above board, I would suggest you either need to pay for the map or link to multimap which their terms do allow. I often draw a simple location map and include a link to a scrollable multimap version.
