obviously you're a little lacking in "memory ability".

How da feck would you know what abilities I have?
You don't even know me you tool.

Your school may enter you for them this year then.
When I had just started my GCSE's way back in 1995 there were one or two people who took some GCSE's at the end of year 10 and then started studying for A-Levels at the start of year 11 while doing the rest of their GCSE's as it wasn't worth them studying for 2 years as they got A's or A*'s anyway.
It did give them a good head start but on the downside split them from their friends in year 11 who were still studying for GCSE's they had already taken the year before.
If the opportunity comes it's up to you really they can't make the decision for you. I also got the choice but turned it down as studying with friends you've known for ages is beneficial to all of you.

Very true.
My GCSE's aren't even on my CV now I've got a degree.
Regards the remarking - if it effects your acceptance to A Levels/Degree course go for it. However you may want to ask your college/University about it first as they may accept you if you've just missed the grades.
When I was at University I failed one module by 2 marks but the lecturer still passed me as I'd attended every lecture and had genuinely tried really hard. If you go to University show real enthuaism and committment if you're struggling with a certain module as the lecturers write and mark the exam papers so if you can show you've really tried they will more than likely pass you if it's a near miss.
But then again I was predicted A in D&T and got a B. Mind you, a year early and it's out the way.
Damn I hate coursework, although I've managed to get As and A*s in most of what I've done in drags on and bores the hell out of me. Like Latin.
