Nothing wrong with having an opinion, it's just when you base it on nothing more than screenshots and bias news stories you read.
And it's not gone down hill because it's ALWAYS been like this as for as Nintendo gaming has been. Now perhaps you're talking about the days when Rare were associated with Nintendo and gave the N64 classics like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark that closet gamers weren't so ashmed of, with the cool image and what not, but Rare leaving is old news and pretty much finished with Nintendo before the Gamecube got started.
So kid, when you bought your brand new black (I'm sure a an animéphobe like you wouldn't be caught dead with a purple one :-D) Gamecube, what WERE you expecting? :-S

They are all fairly good games, but most of them I will never bother getting. The PS2 has a much wider range of games which suits a wider range. Also, Im not the one who branded it a kiddy console, its just the way its has gone with games like Animal Crossing. As I already said I like the games unique to the Nintendo, and will be getting Resident Evil, Prince of Persia, and Metroid, and maybe a couple of Marios.

Which is my point exactly. They have missed some good titles like Burnout 3. Thats why more people are getting other consoles, due to the lack of games.

There sales are unfortunately trailing behind PS2 and XBox, at least in this country anyway. Just look at the shelves when you walk into a game shop. In GAME near me all GC games have been move to a portable stand where special offer games usually go, while PS2, PC and XBox fill all the permanent shelves.
The last game I played was also MGS: Twin Snakes and havent played any game since then. That must have been about 6 months ago or more. Any open minded players would agree that the GameCube is being overpowered, which they clearly are. I have never said that I dont like the GameCube, if anyone is planning to throw that one back. I just hope they can keep their grip and catch up with their competitors. A major component they are lacking at the minute is games that can be played over the net. They have the kit out, yet PSO is just about the only online game with net play, except Mario Kart of course which I have to say is good, but is not enough to reel in the customers.

Going downhill? I doubt it.
