it was far too slow for my tastes.
generally not too bad and some moments of greatness, but it'll be a while before i can be bothered to watch it again.

It's one of those films that's funny as hell the first time you see it, but the second time through it loses all of it's charm.

It's one of the worst/most over-rated films I've ever seen in my entire life.

I watched it and waited for a joke.
I waited for something amusing to happen.

Hell, I waited for something to happen that made me smile.

But the joke never came. Nor did the amusement. Nor did the smile.

That aside, I loved the old Dynamite. Absolute gold, I thought it was. But then again, I'm hardly an avid movie watcher so, yeah. Super Dynamite.

over-rated: too true.
in principle it has potential, as i said some great moments in terms of the characters, but as you say, there's a lot of waiting, watching to see what it is that makes everyone rave about this movie so much... but never saw it.

each to their own i guess, i thought lost in translation was crap as well.

I've adopted his frustrated expulsion of breath as my own, whenever someone gets on my nerves.

I don't know what makes it so funny. Didn't like it at first, but it grew on me. I think it helps if there are other people laughing too.
