Laddish sense of humour, without ever being patronising or OTT.
Could probably talk about paint drying and make it both entertaining and interesting.

It's a shame the humour in Top Gear is scripted at times. Still a great program, and Hammond is a great asset to the show.
On the Top Gear website, it says of Hammond:
"Richard, like so many before him, launched his TV career at Britain’s premier breeding-ground for fresh talent: Radio Cumbria.
He eventually landed his dream job as a TV presenter on a motoring show but, alas, the show was on cable TV where the cameramen regularly outnumbered the viewers. We thought it daft to waste all that genuine petrolhead enthusiasm, so we gave him a job on proper telly."
So it looks like he got the job on merit.
Doesn't say that anyone got the job as a result of a compo, though.

Nah, it's Hammond's show. She only gets that "I can do science, me" bit.
She did get the whole of Brainiac History Abuse, though. But that was pretty crap.

I'm guessing its the posh guy with floppy hair who won the comp, seeing as he has no talent for presenting.
That's because he won a competition on Top Gear to be a presenter, no? Or was the the other posh guy with floppy hair?
