I've got all my A-levels after half term, which starts on May 31st I think..

3 General Studies modules
3 English Lit. modules
3 Economics modules
2 French Modules (done my coursework)
1 History module (coursework + individual study out the way)

One of my bloody english exams is at the same time as my economics as well, so I have to be kept in "quarantine" for what will be ages so I don't phone anyone and find out what was on the paper. Bah. It even means having a teacher with you when you eat lunch in case you communicate with someone. I might make elaborate hand gestures and pretend I've invented a complex code for communicating with people who have already sat the exam. Yes it will be that boring.

I got my AS General Studies marks back today (we sat them in January after doing key skills last year) and my marks prove what a wonderful and brilliant system standardisation is. I didn't finish any of the papers. The multiple choice one I wasn't too concerned about, but when you miss out two 10 mark essay questions because you've ran out of time it's quite worrying. But for some inexplicable reason I got a standardised mark of 297/300. All I can say is that whatever standardisation is and does, I like it a lot!

I had mock AS tests this week. I don't have the results back yet buy here are my predictions:

Philosophy = I failed (its obvious because I cannot understand the terminology)

Theatre Studies = Not making any predictions, I really hope I passed.

Media Double Award VCE = Have that test in 9 hours time :D

I like Scotland because I saw Paul Daniels in Inverness High St. Speaking of exams, for my RE exam we were asked about the parable of the rich man who gave up all his goods to get into the kingdom of heaven so I put:
"A rich man approached Jesus and asked "How can I guarantee getting into heaven", Jesus replied "You must give up all your wordly goods to be accepted", the rich man said "Fair enough!" and ran off."
It was the essay question at the end and worth loads of points and should have been about 500 words - not 4 lines - no wonder I got an E. I also wrote about bushes in the leafy sense, when it should have been about taper lock bushes in the CDT sense.
Still, I'm off to Uni in September. Just goes to show that the system really does work!

You're lucky you're not a year younger doing AS levels and key skills... it's been disregarded by all good unis!
