And thay have a tax that is added once you get to the till rather than it being incorporated into your items' prices already: that's just dumb.
All that crap he spoke about the cost of everything being more expensive here made me laugh. He obviously doesn't understand a thing about the exchange rate. Over here for instance, we get practically double our money when we change pounds to dollars, which is why everything is cheaper there for us.
But for them, it works out more expensive. They pay like $50 for most games at the moment, with that set to rise for the next gen games. It would work out as the equivelent of us paying £50 for an XBox or PS2 game right now.
Plus their sales seem to suck too. They're idea of a sale is to knock a dvd from like $27, down to $23. Then over here you see stuff like 3 for £20, etc. Might be different in other States, but in Florida, things are bloody expensive and this goes beyond the tourist areas. The only deal you really get there is refills on your drinks in most fast food places.
