I've had one for a while, if you want to know something, I might be able to help :).

__________________________________________________________

Starting with

http://forums.minidisc.org/downloads/details.php?file=23

You need this software (Sonic Stage 3.2) to transfer atrac3plus files to your PSP. I'm using 64kpps and it sounds amazing. I have 157 files on my PSP taking up 289Mb. Bullet had 83 files on his taking up 480+Mb. Atrac3plus is definately the way to go.

__________________________________________________________

And this (PSP Video 9) to convert and transfer videos, it even supports the AVC codec added by firmware 2.0 (which your new European PSP already has on it):

__________________________________________________________

And this to rip DVDs

http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/

You need to change the settings to create a single VOB file for PSP instead of 1Gb chunks, then convert it with PSP Video 9.

__________________________________________________________

Tabbed browsing:

While in the browser and viewing a web page, hold square and push R or L to move to a new tab. You will see a band of red, blue and yellow at the top of the screen, these show which tab you are currently on.

To open a link in a new tab, hold cross on the link instead of just pressing.

__________________________________________________________

Scrolling on a web page:

While holding square and you can use the analogue stick like a mouse.

Can anyone who's had a PSP for a while answer these questions for me?

Whats the battery life like? Does it differ if playing games/listening to music/watching movies? I'm undecided between a new MP3 player or a PSP, so how easy to use (as an MP3 player) is it? Do you have to scroll through lots of menus or is it all pretty simple?

They always are with mini-game compilations, no game like that is ever going to be claimed as one of the best things on a console, handheld or otherwise.

I have 1.5 firmware, and if the UMD requires 2.0, theres a nifty little tool that tricks the PSP into thinking its already a 2.0, so I wont have to update.

;)

Ta for the spidey thing.

If it'll run without 2.0 firmware, you'll be alright, if not then I dunno. A lot of new games will only work if you have 2.0, so I'd check that first.

As for the umd, the site wont work in Firefox, use IE and then there should be a little box with Spidey in it you cal click on.

Anyone know Gamestation returns policy?

Gonna get V Tennis, stick it on my mem stick and ask for refund... so just wondering if they'll accept and give me my pennies or full store credit refund.

According to the yourpsp website, the only new thing I noticed which isn't already in America is Virtua Tennis, which is always a good game, but I absolutely loathe having to pay full proce for a regurgitated game I've already played.

Wipeout got an exception, because I've never actually owned it, just borrowed it :).
