I've had one for a while, if you want to know something, I might be able to help :).

Starting with

You need this software (Sonic Stage 3.2) to transfer atrac3plus files to your PSP. I'm using 64kpps and it sounds amazing. I have 157 files on my PSP taking up 289Mb. Bullet had 83 files on his taking up 480+Mb. Atrac3plus is definately the way to go.

And this (PSP Video 9) to convert and transfer videos, it even supports the AVC codec added by firmware 2.0 (which your new European PSP already has on it):

And this to rip DVDs

You need to change the settings to create a single VOB file for PSP instead of 1Gb chunks, then convert it with PSP Video 9.

Tabbed browsing:

While in the browser and viewing a web page, hold square and push R or L to move to a new tab. You will see a band of red, blue and yellow at the top of the screen, these show which tab you are currently on.

To open a link in a new tab, hold cross on the link instead of just pressing.

Scrolling on a web page:

While holding square and you can use the analogue stick like a mouse.

Just a little note, Wollies are offering a 512 mem card for £29.99 when you purchase a game while Dixons i think it was were offering Lumines for £9.99 when bought with any other game at £34.99.

Snap, it's perfect at ripping CDs and converting files to atrac for the PSP.

And it's definately never crashed on me either.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so!

If you read reviews of it on the net, you'd think SonicStage was the spawn of Satan!

It's definitely not the case, though. It's not perfect, but it's perfectly usable, does what it's designed to do, and unlike what I've read on the net, it's perfectly stable too. It's never crashed on me once.

The battery life is about 3 hours playing games with the screen on full brightness.

For playing MP3s with the screen off it lasts about 15 hours.

The actual options playing MP3s are limited and you can only sort MP3s or atrac3s into group(folders) which you set up manually when transferring the music.

the Sonic stage software which supports the PSP isn't that bad actually.

I swap UMDs when it's on all the time. As long as it's not actually accessing the disc when you do it, shouldn't matter.

Question : If I'm on the browser can I eject a UMD game/movie or does the console need to be turned off when I change it?

If you're just using it as an MP3 player then I wouldn't bother. The battery life is poor compared to other products, the software isn't particularly good and you'll need to buy expensive Memory Sticks in order to get any decent size, because otherwise you're paying £180 for a 32MB player (you can get a 20GB player for the same price).

Obviously if you're seriously interested in the games aspect, get it for that, but the music and movie features are more of an extra than a main feature.
