Are these the uber special editions, with metal cases and unique designs, or are we talking about the usual bland extra features?

Virgin Megastores is a reasonably good store but it's a little too mainstream and I have reason to believe that the costing isn't reasonable like that of specialist second-hand shops.

He didn't become a Billionaire through charging tuppence ...

You can find a few rarities in ahem...Mr Branson's high street stores. They sometimes have the Fight Club fold-out version and the same for Predator and Speed.

They all seem to have a load of the Reservoir Dogs limited editions at the moment as well.

So it actually specialises in Limited Edition discs?

Well, I don't know of anything in the immediate vicinity (or anywhere near me) that specialises in rare or limited edition DVDs, but if I scoured some of the shops I might find them.

Haven't really looked that hard before, to be honest.

The shop in my hometown must be an exception then. My older brother works there as well so he often comes home with some good stuff that he's taken off the shelves for himself.

I'd like to see one of the specially packaged DVDs in a shop, but alas, I've yet to see any. Perhaps I haven't really been looking hard enough. I like that Alien head set especially, the likelihood of me picking it up at under £100 are slim though ...

I didn't mean Oxfam or anything like that, I meant specialist shops that buy and sell DVD's and games.

They always have rare things on eBay, such as the limited edition Alien Head collection of films, but they're sold by people who know their value and will start auctions at a high price.

Plus you're splashing out on Postage prices which are higher for the metallic boxes. I've never actually seen a DVD in a second hand shop though ...

Wow they look great Chr1s :D I wouldnt mind having a few of those. I dont think we have any SE or LE at the moment but I'd love to start collecting them too. Though all the best LE I see are done in Asia and Japan especially, they should really try and do more in the UK. I'm talking about getting a special 20th Year edition of Back to the Future that comes with a model of the Delorean and the number plate OUTATIME :D and comes with other things too. Of course not cheap though.

I just hunt around to get stuff like that. You can find a few rare things on ebay but the best place to look is second hand shops. They often have quite a good selection but obviously some of it's a bit battered up.
