The classic episodes were good but now its not that great.
Its more like The Simpsons being a small wooden boat and Matt Groening being fired into the side causing it to sink, slowly, over five years. As more episodes are released off the ship to try and keep it afloat.
They should have quit making new episodes whilst they were ahead.

Bender turned-up for about 3 seconds after they warped through some tunnel then. They threw him out of the car onto the road, which trashed Bender.
