My MSN list is heavily restricted these days. I got a new email and I've only got people I know in the real-world(!!!) and the few (2 or 3) people from SR that I talk to regularly.

No doubt there's a really detailed guide to drive replacement on the net.

I've always wanted to stick a super-fast one in just to see how fast things like Morrowind could load.

But I'll get 'dodgey Dave' the baliff and part time loan-shark coming round to repair my Xbox with a laptop DVD drive and a Chisel.

The drive stays put.

I'm sure it's not hard to put in a new one.

I remember someone on Live had a faster drive put in their xbox and certain load times sped along at lightning speed as we caught up with the host machine a lot quicker (I guess their host machine loaded things quicker so it then connected the rest of us after less time than your usual host machine).

Someone posted a picture of which drives were which, I forget which mine is now.

It may be a Thompson :p

Had mine since 2002 and you know how much I like to play games so.... nah! :P

I've had mine three years and have racked up gameplay hours in their hundreds (probably thousands)
