No, I don`t hate Gorbachev. He finished perestroika, but he didn`t started it. It was any longer before him, but hidden from eyers simple authories.

From what I heard the people are friendly outside the busy places like Moscow. I've also heard St Petersburg is a lot nicer than Moscow too.
