These annoy me, because I'd rather wait and buy a 360 with one of these for when I get my own place and a HDTV.

Damn Microsoft, looks like I'm waiting until after release for mine now.

Come the January sales I'll hopefully be getting a 21" LCD model or something similar.

Yeah..I just have a basic Philips one with scart, I may as well just hang on for 360..it's not far off now anyway!

The one with the downy-pointy design at the bottom? Very nice, and yes, very popular sets!

What DVD Player do you have? If you know it can support component, it'll work. I'm reserving my component slots for my Xbox360 though :D

Sorry guys didn't see this..I'm going for this 26" Samsung LE26R41B with the built in digital freeview. But it's so popular that everywhere is out of stock..cannot wait! I'm so new to this but can I get a component cable for my existing Philips DVD player or am I better buying a progressive scan DVD player? If so I'll nick our home Cinema PS DVD player/decoder.

EDIT: Same TV as you bullet but I went for the 26" one for my room :D

I'm still in the market for a Home cinema system. I'm not up to speed on what's hot and what's not, and although I'd like it to be great, I don't really have a big budget left for one - we bought a kitchen yesterday too :(

Any suggestions?

Nice...

Get some component cables hooked up to that baby, and you'll be well away!

What are you doing about audio?

What TV are you getting Spikecast?

Could have saved a bit if I had gone with Empire Direct, but the Currys guy chucked in free deliver, free Monster cables and a free DVD Recorder upgrade to an LG model that features an integrated HDD.

An offer I couldn't refuse :D

Comes on Saturday - I'll be like a little kid on Xmas Day!

Ooh, which one are you getting?

Due to my girlfriend not letting me spend too much, I could either go for a 42" Plasma or a 32" LCD.

I went for the LCD because Plasmas have so many problems. Paid a little too much for it, but got some stuff chucked in to even it out :)
